Major props to you for going to your baby shower in labor!! And seriously- I don't know how women in the olden days did the natural labor thing with every birth.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03695179104841318390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669762298855511295.post-13256729459457666582013-12-23T09:06:14.843-07:002013-12-23T09:06:14.843-07:00ha I love your realization that you "will ne...ha I love your realization that you "will never, ever attempt an unmedicated birth and that [you] most definitely would have died in childbirth had [you] belonged to any other century." I had an epidural with my first in September, and I cried a little when I finally admitted I wanted one because I had really wanted to go sans epidural. I did make peace with it, but I was disappointed in myself at first. Being able to see the humor in it as you did helped. :) I don't deny myself a washing machine (praise the Lord for washing machines!) simply because women before me put more effort into laundry. lol And I have a feeling those women would say "not spending extra time in pain? go for it, girlfriend." I look forward to the rest of your story!R2P2https://www.blogger.com/profile/00736765844197785820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669762298855511295.post-35264186922330322642013-12-23T08:01:29.411-07:002013-12-23T08:01:29.411-07:00Can't wait for the rest! Can't wait for the rest!Kaitlin @ More Like Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02260649249438520187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669762298855511295.post-21810606240907300022013-12-23T07:57:50.025-07:002013-12-23T07:57:50.025-07:00I can totally empathize with your walk of shame. ...I can totally empathize with your walk of shame. I was sent home in the very same way with baby #5, only to return about five hours later, but still. Leaving that hospital to go home and "rest" was a feeling that I hope to never experience again. Congratulations on your beautiful little girl! I still can't believe the head of hair that she has.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03011414940412270952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669762298855511295.post-65974082858819847822013-12-22T22:31:21.527-07:002013-12-22T22:31:21.527-07:00Dammit Jenny! And I love that you also think about how horrible it would have been to give birth in a century that didn't have epidurals. I'm sure I wouldn't have made it then.Francinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05904134944835186397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1669762298855511295.post-44534730778909697702013-12-22T21:13:27.764-07:002013-12-22T21:13:27.764-07:00Love the rock n play, it's probably the closes...Love the rock n play, it's probably the closest thing Isaac will have to a bed until he's 6 mos. but he doesn't seem to mind.
